Javier Macedo Cordero

Javier was born June 27, 1989 in the city of Tijuana Baja California and grew up in Playas de Rosarito (Rosarito Beach), which is 30 minutes south of Tijuana on the Pacific Coast and 50 minutes from California. At a young age, Javier developed a love for animals. He grew up on his grandparents’ livestock and horse farm, and father always expressed a passion for nature and animals. Javier attended to Universidad Autónoma de Baja California (Autonomous University of Baja California) in the city of Mexicali Baja California and graduated in 2014 with a degree in Medicina Veterinaria y Zootecnia (Veterinary Medicine). He was part of the 41st generation of Veterinary Medicine graduates from Instituto de Investigaciones en Ciencias Veterinarias, a Veterinary Medicine Research Institute.

Upon graduation, Javier returned to his hometown and worked with large animals on his family farm. Two years later, he was given the opportunity to work for the world’s largest cattle feedlots, JBS Five Rivers in Yuma, Colorado.

Javier met his wife, Rebecca, in Colorado, then moved to Georgia. Javier and Rebecca still reside in Taylorsville, Georgia with their amazing son Javier, or “Cito.” After working at a small animal practice in Georgia for a few years, Javier searched for a new opportunity in large animal, which brought him to us at Bickett Genetics.
